Global Focus
It is my great desire to grow a great commission church. We are living in the greatest days in the history of the church of Jesus Christ. Millions and millions of people have yet to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ… we MUST go! Growing an Acts 1:8 church (“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”) is essential to fulfilling God’s heart for the world. This verse is a comprehensive mission strategy for reaching the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. God help us to not just have a Jerusalem mentality. It is the great commission, not the great suggestion.
When I read and understand the words of Acts 1:8, it is more than just an adrenaline rush. It is a cardiac response, a heart response.
This past weekend we had a Global Focus Seminar at our church. 85 people were here learning how to be mobilized and engaged with a strategic plan to reach the world for Jesus Christ. The two most embarrassing questions you can ask a Christian –
1. When is the last time you led someone to Jesus Christ?
2. When is the last time you even tried?
