Top Blogs – Number 4

I am on vacation this week, trying to unplug so enjoy the top blogs since I started blogging.

I am excited to have Ralph Canada as our guest blogger for the day. Ralph has been a great friend of mine for several years. He heads up a ministry called Connect Global that is being used in amazing ways to connect Latin Americans who are called to minister in the Middle East.

The greatest challenge that the church of Jesus Christ has today is fulfilling the task that He left us over 2,000 years ago. His mandate in Mt. 28:18-20 has been misinterpreted by many, it is not to win everyone to faith in Christ, which honestly will never happen. But this mandate is to make disciples of all nations or literally translated that means families or ethnic groups. So the commission is for us to make sure that every ethnic group has the ability to hear the Gospel in their heart language, and be able to respond, and then for them to grow, and form local churches, which in turn do launch out to reach their community.

But the question comes to bear, have we finished this task that Jesus commanded us? The answer is no, there are still 6,500 people groups that are still unreached, and 3,000 of them no one is working with at all! These are ethnic groups of people, many of which are many millions of people, that still do not have access to the Gospel in their language! There are literally cities of nearly 1 million in population in the 10/40 Window that have no churches, no Bibles, and no Christians! Nearly 1/3 of our world lives in these unreached people groups.

We have to ask ourselves, is this task doable? Can we reach these unreached people groups? The answer is yes! Worldwide there are over 1 million evangelical churches today. We have enough resources to finish this task in our generation. We have enough people, enough money, enough technology, enough of everything in order to do what Jesus commanded us to do. But have we become like the nation of Israel, are we so inwardly focused on ourselves, our own communities that we will not use those resources to take the Gospel where the Name of Jesus has still not yet been preached?

Romans 15: 20-21 Paul declared:  “My aim is to evangelize where Christ has not been named, so that I will not build on someone else’s foundation, but, as it is written: Those who were not told about Him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”

Connect Global is a network that is connecting hundreds of churches worldwide to the unreached people groups, and facilitating the sending of dozens of missionaries from Latin America to the muslim world.
