Yesterday we were deep in the subject of winning. We said that Winning Requires Vision and Winning Requires Prioritization.
Let me give you 3 more ways to win.
Winning Requires Self Realization:
Have you noticed that people who have little self awareness are usually the most dysfunctional? (Sorry Charlie) You cannot be blind to your true self. Have you been blind so long that you have made it impossible to see yourself as you really are? Not only do you need to know your own strengths and weaknesses, you must look in the mirror and tell yourself the truth. Are you arrogant? Do people think you’re full of yourself? Do you treat people with respect and dignity? You must answer these questions and others that are similar honestly. Awareness is always the first step to progress. So, take a deep look within.. Take inventory. Put the spotlight on your own life. You will never win unless you are self aware.
Winning Requires Continual Improvement:
People who win consistently improve continuously. Little by little, day by day, you must be making improvements. People don’t win by accident. Everyday, you must work on your craft, your business, and your life. You really don’t need to compete with anyone else except yourself. If you are getting better everyday, then you are winning.
Winning Requires Humility:
It’s so easy to get prideful when you’re winning. We all get pumped up and sometimes full of ourselves when we win. True winners realize they didn’t get there on their own. If you see a turtle on a fence post, you know that someone put it there. If you have experienced any type of success, there is no doubt that someone helped you get there. Walk in humility and have an attitude of gratitude. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. There is only one thing worse than a sore loser and that is a bad winner. Zig Ziglar said, “You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” Are you winning?
