The Three Ps

1 – Perseverance

People and circumstances will do everything to try and bring you down. You must stay focused and stay on target.

Booker T. Washington said, “I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which one has overcome while trying to succeed.”

Don’t make excuses! George Washington Carver said, “99% of failure comes from people who have the habit of making excuses.”

Many things in this life are going to try and block your vision, your dreams, your goal…stay focused and stay on target. Your dream is out there! Don’t lose sight of it, even if you can’t see it! The key is perseverance!

2 – Passion

One person with passion is greater than 99 who only have an interest.

A few observations about passion:

Genius is talent set on fire by passion. A person with passion never needs a “jump-start” – they are ready at any moment!

Passionate people do not grow complacent.

Passion does not attempt to get you to preserve, it sweeps you away.

After researching over 500 top performers from all areas of businesses, the arts and sports, Robert Krieger made this statement, “No two were alike, but the one quality they all had was passion. It was their drive, their enthusiasm, and their desire  that distinguished them.”

Michael Jordan said, “Heart is what separates the good from the great.” Passion is the difference between average and above average.

And last but, the most important…if you don’t have this one when it’s all said and done, it won’t matter that you had the other six.

Passion is vital!

3 – Purpose

“The man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder; a waif, a nothing, a no man…”

Thomas Carlyle 1795-1881 Many people don’t have a clear sense of purpose and direction for their life. They don’t know who they are and why they are on this planet. Everyone needs a strong sense of purpose and mission.

Do you know what you are supposed to do with the one life – the ONLY life you have to live? Every moment of our lives has value, and every decision we make either adds to our purpose and mission or takes away from it.

Find your purpose and live it!
