What are you truly passionate about? You know – that one thing that you constantly think about, dream about and find most of your conversations centered around.
Passion evokes emotion. There is no such thing as an emotionless passion. Passion is the fuel that drives your life.
Do you know anyone that needs some jumper cables hooked to them to get them jump started? You know those people who seem to have no passion for anything at all. It’s what I call “Doris Day theology – Kay Sa Ra Sa Ra,” whatever will be will be. These are the people who go through life just existing, just surviving – they are lifeless. They look dead, act dead, there is no passion in them.
We must live life with passion. Passion creates opportunity; passion doesn’t punch a time clock; passion doesn’t get you to persevere; passion sweeps you away.
Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “As life is action and passion. It is required of a man that he should share the passion and action of his time, at the peril of being not to have lived.”
There are many things in life that will catch your eye. But only a few that will capture your heart. What has captured your heart? What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about a relationship with Jesus Christ. I became a Christian on July 28, 1985 at 22 minutes after 8 in the evening. I have never gotten over that encounter!
This weekend, starting Good Friday at 7:00 pm, I will be sharing my life story, “Over the Wall.” Then again on Saturday at 6:00 pm and three times on Sunday at 8:30, 10:00 and11:45 am.
I am passionate about what happen to me and equally passionate about it happening to others…
Will you do what ever it takes to get someone here? Will you do anything short of sin to reach people far from God?
Let’s be passionate!
