I have trust issues…it is a problem that I developed a long time ago. It affects my relationships with people and with God.
Trust is such a big word. People say one thing and do another. Sometimes you are betrayed or experience disloyalty. It really does affect your relationship with people.
Many times in life, we are faced with situations that overwhelm us. Tragedy or other unexpected events hit us right out of the blue. We find out something that cuts us deeply. We fall into discouragement or disillusionment.
No matter who you are, you will face problems. You will have some things that will cause you deep pain and hurt. We ride this emotional roller coaster from time to time. The question when those things happen is, will you trust God? Will I trust God when the things around me are out of my control?
I love what Henry Nowen said “This is the great conversation in our life to recognize and believe that the many unexpected events are not just disturbing interventions of our lives, but the way in which God moves our hearts and prepares us.”
Do you believe that God is moving and preparing your heart to trust him in a deeper way?
Jesus said, “My grace is sufficient.” No need that you have is greater than God’s supply of grace. Every moment of every second, there is ample provision for your every need.
It all comes down to trust. Do you trust a good, Holy, wonderful God who knows best?
Today, lean into him, trust him, throw yourself at him, and fall into his arms. Trust in him and believe that he is who he says he is!
Trust…That’s such a big word.
