I don’t know about you but I am tired of slapping the “mission impossible” label on those things that are merely difficult.
I understand that everyone’s problems and situations are different. I know that my “little” problem in comparison to your “big” overwhelming situation really cannot be compared. Or can it? Big because it involves you, your emotions, your family, your finances and your future.
Have you given up because it seems to be an impossible situation? Possible or impossible? Who can really say?
I do know that we give up too easily and too soon. We get discouraged way too easily. I also know that if you don’t believe you can overcome, you can’t.
Maybe you need a different perspective. Maybe your emotions have gotten the best of you.
I have heard that the greatest cause of ulcers is mountain climbing over molehills! Dr. Norman Vincent Peale used to say, “many people suffer poor health, not because of what they eat but from what is eating them.”
What’s eating you? What have you labled “mission impossible”? What or who have you given up on? Ouch…that hurt! Maybe you’re tired of fighting, tired of praying and just sick and tired of living in your situation.
Today I don’t have three points or seven principles or a host of questions for you.
I simply want to encourage you to believe. Believe the word of an angel of God spoken to a girl who was facing a mountain that she knew she was not capable of climbing; a situation she knew she couldn’t control and a problem that no human intervention could solve.
That angel said in Luke 1: 37, “for with God, nothing will be impossible.”
My friend, with God nothing is impossible. Mission impossible becomes mission possible with God!
