Happy Birthday America! As we have celebrated July 4th, Independence Day this weekend, I can’t help but reflect on how blessed we are to live in the U.S.A.
I travel frequently and although I enjoy seeing other countries, ministering for Jesus and having the opportunity to spend time with friends who live all over the world, it is always great to touch down in the U.S. and return home.
I have sat and watched the news this week to see people complaining and protesting about all types of things. I thought to myself how freedom allows them to voice their opinions and to voice their complaints publicly. Freedom that cost many their health, their families, their sanity and even their lives.
I heard John Maxwell once say, “there is no such thing as a free lunch, someone somewhere had to pay for it.” There is so much truth to that statement. The freedom that we take for granted cost someone somewhere at some time. I for one am grateful!
The flag still makes me proud, the National Anthem still makes me emotional and I still think this is the greatest country in the world!
Pray for our country and for our leaders. It really is a day of controversy, dis-unity and chaos. What a perfect time for Revival! If you read the Bible, God moved in the most powerful ways when nations turned their backs on Him and chose to live in rebellion and sin. I would say we are right there!
God bless America…I love this country.
