Grace

I am so excited about beginning our new series at New Season this Sunday on Grace. We will kick off this series on Sunday and dive into the subject of grace for the next 8 weeks.

Grace…God’s riches at Christ’s expense; God’s unmerited, unearned, undeserved, unlimited favor; God’s unconditional love towards you and me. God is giving someone who deserves death, hell and judgment a free pardon.

Romans 5:20 says, ” Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.” Wow, what a verse! Grace trumps my sin! God bestows on us a supernatural act of kindness that is undeserved. God gives you and I what we do not deserve and cannot attain on our own.

The church ought to be a place of grace. When asked about attending church, a prostitute said, “why would I ever go there? I was already feeling terrible about myself, this just made me feel worse.”

Unfortunately those of us who proclaim that we have experienced grace don’t live grace filled lives. Many of our churches do not contain much grace. If you ask the average person on the street to describe the church, sadly the answers would more than likely be, “judgmental, unforgiving, hateful, mean, cold, and critical.” What people should associate with the church right away is grace! Why doesn’t the church give off an aroma of grace?

Beginning February 5th at New Season, we will be studying the most misunderstood doctrine in the Bible, and the most unused, yet practical doctrine in the church. Here is the list of sermon titles:

Characterized by Grace
Surprised by Grace
Accepted by Grace
Amazed by Grace
Saved by Grace
Sustained by Grace
Restored by Grace
Puzzled by Grace

Join us at New Season or listen online as we experience Grace together!
